Incident Safety Awareness for Hired Vendors  course is designed for hired vendors working with the CAL FIRE or the United States Forest Service on any active “all risk” incident with major focus on wildland fires, including water tender operators, heavy equipment with water operators (Skidgine), dozer operators, crew bus drivers, vehicle drivers, mechanics, fallers, swampers, and chain saw operators.


The purpose of the course is to educate hired vendors who plan to engage in “all risk” incidents, wildland fire suppression and other incident support activities, how to recognize and mitigate risk, and maintain safe and effective practices while working under agency supervision on an incident.


Upon successful completion of training, participants will receive a course completion card valid for one (1) year from date of issue.
